Vivian and Ted Zablotsky
Education is a big part of our lives and we want to make sure it is sustainable. We want education to focus on the spiritual aspect in developing the whole person so students can learn about being good people.
We moved from Norwich to West Hartford over 30 years ago hoping to be part of a vibrant Jewish community and to lead by example. All four of our children went to Hebrew Academy and Hebrew High School (now New England Jewish Academy), and our grandchildren attend Solomon Schechter Day School. We have given more than 60 years of combined volunteer service to Jewish education in the community. Vivian has served in various leadership roles at Hebrew Academy, and Ted is on the board of New England Jewish Academy.
In addition to our volunteer work, we try to give generously and wisely. Even though we make annual donations to support educational programs, we have committed to a legacy gift with the Jewish Community Foundation through a life insurance policy. We were very motivated for this community to stay strong when we moved here, and we believe it is getting stronger.
