I was always uncomfortable that my Jewish family history was just that – history. My husband and I were raised with proud stories of struggle, survival and achievement, but the essence of being Jewish and of Jewish community just wasn’t there. We made the decision to reach for what seemed to be slipping away for ourselves and for our three children. We are so fortunate to have found ourselves in West Hartford. We have an amazing Jewish community and resources ready to meet each of us where we are as Jews. Life and Legacy could be the title for what we strived to accomplish – living Jewishly and creating Jewish identity for our family. Life and Legacy is a natural fit for our values and I am proud that my adult children, Benjamin and his wife Ariela, Joel and Sophia have also committed to legacy gifts.
