My decision to make a Life & Legacy commitment was inspired by the families and individuals that are strong lay leaders, in a variety of Jewish settings, but have also made a legacy commitment to that same institution where they are a member/volunteer. The Greater Hartford community has always cared for me when I was both near and afar. Whether I was a UConn Hillel undergraduate, teaching in a Hebrew School, a resident of a Moishe House, a Frank Stavis participant, or the Program Director of UHart Hillel, I have always found myself being supported, loved, and taken care of by Greater Hartford families and Jewish institutions that have become my chosen family. Since others took the time to “plant” for me through mentorship, education, and joyful experiential opportunities, I want the same for anyone who chooses to live and work in our Jewish community into the future.
