This was the best summer program I have ever been on.

From 7am – 11pm, our day would be packed with all sorts of different activities. From visiting famous Jewish sites, to going tubing, to hiking, the program constantly keeps me engaged and learning new things about Israel. Despite all the programming which we did, three weeks of our trip involved us doing internships for six hours a day.

I had the privilege of working at Jerusalem Center for Applied Policy, a Jerusalem focused think tank. I found this opportunity to be so educational in helping me understand the context of Israel being in Jerusalem, and how foreign powers are trying to gain influence over it.

Beyond just learning new things, my internship also gave me the opportunity to meet with prominent people like Fiji’s ambassador to Israel and visit cool places like the church of the Holy seplucar, and a half built abandoned palace of the Jordanian King.

More important than all the experiences I gained was the people who I met on the trip. From the moment I stepped into the airport, I found everyone on the trip to be very welcoming and outgoing. It was so easy to make friends and I plan to keep in touch with them. The people and the environment made my experiences all the more special. — David Medvedovski
