Creating an endowment fund is a profound way to honor remarkable individuals whose dedication to the Jewish community will leave a lasting legacy. Judy and David Rosenthal exemplify such dedication through their extraordinary service to Jewish Family Services (JFS).
With 15 years of unwavering commitment, Judy has excelled as Board President, served as a Hunger Hero, co-founded the Jewish Employment Transition Services program and founded the Schmoozer’s Job Network, embodying the spirit and values of an extraordinary leader.
Judy and David share a passion for Tzedakah (helping those with limited resources) and strengthening the community. Together they launched Helping Our Hungry Community in 2012, a JFS signature event that raises money for the Anja Rosenberg Kosher Food Pantry to provide nourishing food for families and individuals in need.
To commemorate Judy and David’s ongoing leadership in the Jewish community, their JFS colleagues Lisa Berman and Pia Rosenberg Toro established The Judy and David Rosenthal Fund, an endowment fund at the Foundation that will provide permanent support for JFS in the Rosenthals’ name. The fund was presented as a thank-you gift at JFS’s 2024 Annual Meeting.
“Pia and I truly feel that this is the most thoughtful and meaningful gift that will truly exemplify all that Judy and David stand for,” explained Lisa. “This fund will support JFS in perpetuity as a sign of our abiding respect and appreciation for Judy and David Rosenthal’s dedication.”
