The Mini Minyan and Family Education Programs at Farmington Valley Jewish Congregation — Emek Shalom (FVJC-ES) offer parents and their children an introduction to Jewish values and ethics, and parenting through a Jewish lens. When FVJC-ES staff wanted to enhance the Family Education curriculum, they hired a consultant through a grant from the Foundation. As a result, 41 families have explored their commitment to living Jewishly.

“Stronger programming and content from the consultant provided deeper engagement for families and compelled many parents to become members,” said Rebekah Goldman, Senior Rabbi of FVJC-ES. “It also provided interfaith partners with meaningful knowledge about the faith in which they are raising their children.”
