Thanks to You, Our Jewish Community Has Met the Endowment Challenge!

The Jewish Community Foundation's Endowment Challenge for the Community is complete!  All 13 participating organizations have raised met their goals and earned matching grants--raising more than $1.5 million to secure the Jewish future in Greater Hartford. "Many new philanthropic dollars are going to work for the Jewish community because of the Endowment Challenge," says David H. Fierston, Chair of the Foundation's Board of Trustees.

The Challenge offered a dollar-for-dollar match of up to $75,000 to local Jewish Federation beneficiary agencies that raised permanent endowment funds over a three-year period. The goal: to create a long-term financial safety net for their operations, deepening the roots and strengthening the lifeline of our Jewish community. Yachad Greater Hartford Jewish Community High School was the final agency to complete the Challenge. Thanks to your generosity, our agencies and schools are stronger than ever!

The Endowment Challenge is complete, but your gift to help endow your favorite agency is welcome at any time.  Click here for giving options.
