The Jewish Philanthropy Resource Center keeps donors and local Jewish family foundations informed about grant making opportunities and contemporary trends and issues in philanthropy.  It also carries out the special mission of promoting personalized and values-based legacy planning.

Foundation staff works closely with individuals and families in exploring, sharpening and focusing their charitable objectives. Our goal is to guide donors through a deliberate process of creating a vision for your philanthropy.

Ethical Wills: Passing On Your Values

The Jewish Community Foundation and Jewish Federation co-sponsored a session this fall on ethical wills for a group of women donors. Ethical wills are a unique way to pass on your values, life lessons, and hopes for the future--and you needn't wait until the end of life.

Peter Karoff Discusses Giving With Impact

All of us wonder, “Am I doing the most that I can do to make a difference?” Peter Karoff has made that question part of his life’s work.  Widely known as the foremost thinker and writer about philanthropy and its potential to transform society, Karoff is founder and chairman of The Philanthropic Initiative (TPI), a nonprofit consulting group that promotes philanthropy and advises donors on strategic giving.  He recently spoke at an event sponsored by TPI and The Boston Foundation on the themes raised by his new book The World We Want: New Dimensions in Philanthropy and Social Change, and he brought his insights to the Jewish Community Foundation on November 14.
